What should I bring to our meeting?
Do I need to set up an additional meeting with LET Design Works to make my changes?
No, an additional meeting is not required for changes. If you need to make any revisions to your selections, please send us those changes via email. Email is the best way of contacting us to get back to you in a timely manner. We will make the revisions to your paperwork and email back to you your new paperwork.
How do I sign off on my selections?
Once you are ready to sign off on your selections, please let us know and we will email you a DocuSign. We prefer this method of signing with DocuSign because it combines your paperwork into one, easy to read PDF file. Just follow the directions from DocuSign and we will be notified once the signature is completed.
When do I need to finalize my selections?

Why am I being charged for a Dedicated 15 Amp Circuit for Each (10) Load Items?
The whole house dedicated 15 amp circuit is a required charge. For every 10 load items (e.g. any added lighting and outlets) you add to your house, an additional dedicated 15 amp circuit is needed, so that your main electrical panel is not overloaded.
Can I put a chandelier above the bathtub?
No, you cannot put a fixture above the bathtub. Instead, you may put a damp location recessed light above the bathtub.
Do I have to purchase a light fixture for every prewire I select?
No, the only area you have to purchase an actual fixture for is a closet.
What is the difference between a single pole and three way switch?
A single pole switch controls lighting from one location, a three way switch controls the same light from two locations, and a four way switch controls the same light from more than two locations. For every additional location, add one four way switch.
Do the light prewires include switches?
Ceiling light prewires and recessed lights do not include a switch. This is because ceiling lights and recessed lights are commonly grouped together and only need one switch per group.
What is the difference between a ceiling fan prewire and a ceiling light prewire?
A ceiling fan prewire allows you to install a fan, fan with a light, or just a light fixture. It is also rated for 50lbs of weight. A ceiling light prewire allows you to install a light fixture rated for 30lbs.
Can a ceiling fan prewire be switched from more than one location?
No, ceiling fans may only be switched from one location.
Are all the plugs in the garage GFI protected?
Yes, all plugs in a garage are GFI protected, even if it is on a dedicated circuit. Also, outlets inside a garage will be installed around counter height.
What does a photo electric eye do?
A photo electric eye will turn on any light it is connected to automatically at night when the sun goes down, and then turn it off in the morning when the sun comes up.
What is included in the cost of a dimmer switch?
The cost for a dimmer switch is only the cost to upgrade a switch to a dimmer. You still need to purchase a standard switch in addition to a dimmer switch. This also applies to motion sensors and timers.
What is the difference between a GFCI outlet and a surge protected outlet?
GFCI outlets protect against electric shock in wet areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Surge protected outlets protect against sudden increases in voltage.

What is a data outlet?
A data outlet provides use for Ethernet. It allows for computer networking, sharing data, files, and high-speed internet, printers, etc. This is the type of outlet you would need anywhere you want to hardline your internet connection.
What's the difference between Cat5e and Cat6?
The most common type for ethernet usage, a Cat5e cable provides performance up to 1Gbps at 100MHZ.
In comparison, Cat6 cables support higher bandwidth, up to 10Gbps at 250MHz, and over longer distances. They also have an internal shield which helps to prevent distortion and interference.

What is a TV outlet?
Use for reception of CATV, satellite, antenna, or other audio/video signals, cable modem.
What is a room conduit?
A room conduit is a hollow tube that can be ran behind the drywall. This conduit protects the wires and is used to conceal wires from view. A common use for conduits is for wall-mounted TVs. You can use a conduit to hide your wires, such as HDMIs, for your TV or components.
